We offer specialist clinics for Hypertension to both screen and treat Hypertension. High Blood Pressure is usually diagnosed after several blood pressure checks followed by a 24 hour blood pressure reading. As a baseline, most patients should aim to keep their blood pressure less than 140/90 or lower if they are Diabetic or have Kidney Disease. We encourage all patients with High Blood Pressure to take all their medications on a regular basis and regularly get their Blood Pressure checked every 6 months. We will offer an Annual Blood Test to measure Cholesterol, Glucose and Kidney Function. As well as being compliant with medications, losing weight, undergoing regular exercises and reducing general salt and alcohol intake may also help to control your Blood Pressure. This in turn will reduce the chances of you developing Heart Disease and Strokes in the future.
